about
My family jokes that my photography career began when I was eight years old and my dad handed me the camera on one of our family vacations. I would argue that it took a few more years for me to be able to say that.
In 2012 I received my BFA in photography from Louisiana State University, having learned the craft from great photographers like Thomas Neff and Jeremiah Ariaz. They instilled in me a love for film and alternative processes, as well as creating concepts for cohesive bodies of work. The final one I worked on was a series based on the degradation of coastal Louisiana, which I’ve unfortunately lost all of except a few physical prints.
After graduation I pursued a career in restaurant management, leaving photography behind, but I always felt something was missing in my life. The pandemic in 2020 spurred me to start doing what I love again. Now every day I get to wake up to capture light and memories for others to enjoy. I photograph just about any subject but specialize in architecture, food, and portraiture. Film photography is also a huge passion of mine, so be ready for me to take out my behemoth of a medium format camera at any time.
